End of August Previous year's data removed from CAAAN-DO
Late September Updates emailed to all CAAAN members
September/October Chairs meet with their committees for training
Early October Applicant referrals available to chairs through CAAAN-DO
October Contact meetings with applicants begin (there is no official start date)
November 1 Postmark deadline for final elements of Early Decision applications
November 29 Last day to submit narrative CAAAN contact reports for inclusion in Early Decision applicants' folders (deadline based on Eastern time zone)
Early November - Early February Busiest season for CAAAN volunteers
Mid-December Early Decision applicants receive their admissions decisions
Late December Early Decision applicant decisions available to chairs through CAAAN-DO
January 2 Postmark deadline for final elements of Regular Decision applications
Mid-Late January Applicant receptions offered by some CAAAN committees
February 21 Last day to submit narrative CAAAN contact reports for Regular Decision applicants (deadline based on Eastern time zone)
Late February - Early March Regular Decision Early Notification admissions decisions sent to some CALS, Hotel, and ILR applicants
Early March CAAAN chairs can access Regular Decision Early Notification admissions decisions through CAAAN-DO
March 5 Last day to submit basic CAAAN contact reports (deadline based on Eastern time zone)
Mid-March - Early April Ivy Blackout and Moratorium periods: no contact with applicants
April 1 Common Ivy League Regular Decision notification date
Early April CAAAN chairs can access decisions for Regular Decision applicants through CAAAN-DO
Early - Mid-April CAAAN members may begin contacting students admitted via Regular Decision
Mid-April Admitted student receptions offered by many CAAAN committees
May 1 Regular Decision enrollment deposit postmark deadline
Late May Many CAAAN chairs submit articles to Cornell Club newsletters seeking new CAAAN volunteers
June Thank you notes sent from chairs to their committees
June This is a good time for chairs to update / verify committee rosters
Late July - Mid-August Many CAAAN committees offer summer send-offs for entering students
